Year 4 Celebration Assembly – The Romans
Year 4 Spring Term Update
This term year 4 are moving on from the Groovy Greeks and onto the Ruling Romans as their main topic.
Cross-curricular links will look at what the Romans did for us as well as historical stories about the founding of Rome, the expansion of the Roman Empire, the Invasion of Britain and Queen Boudicca. In art children will be working on their own Roman inspired mosaics whilst in D&T they will be making a small section of a Roman road.
During our dance sessions we are learning about how to be Roman soldiers and turning marching drills into a dance. Music lessons will be centred around Roman topic songs in preparation for our upcoming class assembly on Thursday 22nd March, 2018. We hope to see you there.
During science we will be learning about Humans and Living things then progressing onto group animal and living things using classification skills.
