Year 4 Mrs Lindsey Rowell
In Year 4 this term we are celebrating the 100th birthday of the amazing Roald Dahl by using The BFG as our class text. We are also enjoyed creating some Quentin Blake illustrations of some of our favourite Roald Dahl characters! We are currently enjoying our history topic which will teach us all about the Ancient Greeks, keep looking for some updates on our class work.
Still to come we are looking forward to singing in the Harvest Festival, we will be singing the first song! So singing rehearsals are happening as often as we can to ensure we give a good performance. In our learning we are working hard to improve all aspects of our reading, writing and maths, we are very proud of some of the work we have produced so far this year. We are enjoying being in our new classroom after two years in the same room We have already won the Tidy Tiger award this year and hope to win it again soon.
PE is on Thursdays however we ask that you send in your child with their kit on a Monday and they keep it in school until a Friday in case of any timetable changes. Swimming for year 4 is currently on a Wednesday until Christmas.
Check out some of art illustrations.
Year 4 working collaboratively in maths to count to the next 100 in jumps along a number line.
As Year 3 were out at a Sports Festival we were able to have a great music session with the teacher who comes into our school to teach them. We learn two great songs about Brazil and enjoyed the dancing too.
